We have a little bit of news. Don's former boss at TaxWorks called and asked Don to come in and do some contract work for a month. So, we have work, but just for a month. I want to be super excited about this, and a part of me is. But, I think it will just be harder for him to leave the second time. It will be money coming in though and for that I am grateful. There is still a part of me that just doesn't understand this. They still need him! They still want him to work there. He still wants to work there. But the dang company just won't allow it. Where is the logic in that? There isn't any. It's not even a money issue, because they're hiring for other positions. It's just that if they re-hired him someone would have to admit that they were wrong, and it's just not going to happen. It's so easy for me to get off on a tangent sometimes. Anyway, the point of this post is supposed to be that we have work for a bit. Yay!
Also, our car has been having problems for a few months now, so we haven't been driving it. Then this last weekend the check engine light came on in the van. So, we took the van in and found out that it needs a new catalytic converter. It will cost about $500 to get it fixed. You can imagine that this was not good news considering that we have no job and no other car that works. We thought we'd take the car in and see if it would be cheaper to get it fixed than to fix the van. Nope. The car needs a new transmission. That will come in somewhere between $2-3000, so we might not even fix it. We found all of this out yesterday and I was just feeling like we were never going to get out of this mess. Then, here comes another blessing with this month-long job. Now we'll be able to at least fix the van. I really am grateful for this.

I'm just so sad for you and your situation. But this post did warm my heart at the Lord's tender mercies and how if we are true and faithful, He really is aware of us and will meet our needs. Thanks for sharing this--it helped me in my day.
Hang in there, Kris!
