The Storm

We got hit with quite the wind storm last week. We had winds that were 100 mph. It was pretty intense. We lost some siding off of the house. Really, we lost it. Who knows where it ended up. There were trees down all over the neighborhood, trampolines that went flying, and roofs that were ruined. It was an amazing amount of damage. The wind was so strong for so long! The storm began at about 2 am and went until after 5 pm the next day. We were out of power for two days. That was a cold time! Thank goodness Don's sister let us hunker down at their house for awhile.

Our poor playset. :( It's days were happy ones, but they're over now.

A couple of days after the storm we heard that the winds were going to be pretty bad again. This was a huge concern because of all of the trees and other debris that was still all over the city. Sunday morning we were asked to meet at 9:30 to begin cleaning up. We all worked hard until 1:00, then trudged in our grubby clothes over to the church where we had a wonderful sacrament meeting, then it was back to work. Our small 4 street ward was finally cleaned up by about 5:30 that day, before the winds hit again that evening. Crazy times!
