Good news: Don got a permanent contract job.
Bad news: The starting date was postponed until July 19th, and it pays half of what we've made with other contract jobs, and it's a contract job(which means no benefits).
Good news: Our unemployment insurance was extended.
Bad news: We hit our one year mark since it started, so it was canceled.
Good news: We were told that we could file a new claim.
Bad news: But we didn't make enough money during the last year to qualify for it. (What kind of logic is that? We didn't make enough money to get unemployment benefits? Go figure)
Good news: We found that they weren't counting Don's contract job from last year because he was paid through his business name, not through his. We are fighting the decision, and we'll have to see what the outcome is.

Good news: we are so lucky to still have you around and the unemployment system doesn't know what fighters you are!
