It's back!
Yesterday while Don was getting dressed, all of a sudden he froze in pain. I don't know if he just moved wrong or if something slipped. But it was bad. He couldn't get in to see his chiropractor until the afternoon, so he took some pain meds and went to work. He was in a lot of pain all day. When he finally got to the chiropractor, the doctor said that he'd never heard a back crack so loud. Don felt so much better, but he was very sore. Today he's feeling somewhat better, but he's still getting sharp, shooting pains throughout the day. He's also been complaining of more numbness in his toes lately. We're really hoping that this is a matter of his back being out, not that the disc is herniated again. This is really scary. We've spent, literally, thousands of dollars on this. To find out now that the decompression isn't working would be devastating. It would also mean surgery, which because we have high deductible insurance, would mean thousands more dollars out of our pockets. We're hoping and praying that this is a simple setback and Don will back to his normal recovery soon.
