| Nellie has grown so much! She is two months old now and she's nearly doubled her birth weight. She is 9 lbs 2 oz. She's now on the charts as far as all of her percentiles go, even if they are all between the 4th and tenth percentiles. She wasn't even on the charts before, so this is progress. We're a little concerned about a few things. It's been hard to make eye contact with her and she hasn't started smiling yet. Hopefully that will come soon. I'm not too worried about these things, because if she had been full term, she would only be about a month old right now. So, I think it will come in time. Her doctor is also watching to see if she might have Torticollis. That's a muscle condition where the muscles on one side of her neck didn't develop properly and makes her always turn to one side. This may also be contributing to her not making much eye contact. Her head is really flat on one side, which is pushing her eye and ear forward on that side. She thinks that torticollis may be the cause of this, but we'll wait and see. If it is, she'll have some physical therapy ahead of her, but it should be okay. |

She is adorable! My sisters twins that were premature ended up with that condition, it is really common on premature babies. It is also common for kids in the NICU because they lay down for so much time when they are newborns. My sisters girls each wore a helmet for a couple months and you wouldn't even know they had a flat spot now. She is so cute!
